IBM to open app integration centres

NEWS IBM is to open eight competency centres around the world to help organisations integrate complex, disparate systems. The centres are aimed at helping users integrate business applications internally as well as with customers and suppliers. William Reedy, vice president of marketing for IBM software, claimed enterprise application integration is a problem that "knows no size." The first centre will open in Chicago tomorrow followed by one in San Mateo, California and then Hursley in the UK in October. These will be followed by centres in Stuttgart, Paris, Tokyo and Singapore.
