NEWS CRM specialist, Pegasystems, this week announced its support for Sun Microsystems' Sun Ray enterprise appliance and hot desk technology. According to Pegasystems, Sun Ray will be an excellent fit for call centres, enabling staff to access and relocate desktop sessions using the appliance's smartcard technology. Sun Ray is based on Sun's Solaris operating system. It manages and maintains client sessions from a central server, allowing operators to work from flexible terminals without the need for desktop upgrades.
