Oracle shifts enterprise suite online

NEWS Oracle will use its user conference in Florida this week as a launch pad for its wholly Web-based human resources and CRM software. The company's financial and human resources package, 11i, should be available for release early next year with its updated CRM package, 3i, following in May 2000. Oracle has redesigned both applications to be platform-independent in an attempt to consolidate all components of enterprise software online. 10,000 visitors are expected at the conference.
