7C to open £1.5m Swindon-based call centre

NEWS Call centre specialist, 7C, is to open a new 450-person call centre in Swindon, at a cost of £1.5m. The new operation will create the 450 jobs before Christmas, and will manage customer service traffic for Vodafone's PayT service. 7C already handles over 600,000 calls per month for PayT. Fifteen month old 7C is dedicated to becoming a major force in the European call centre market, and has already created 1,000 jobs since its inception. It is to invest £10m over the next three years creating a further 2,000 jobs across Europe. 7C's call centres are fully integrated for Internet-based transactions. Other customers of the contractor include The Carphone Warehouse, RAC and Virgin.
