NEWS SkillSet has won a contract to train BP Amoco staff how to use its "purchase-to-pay" system - the oil giant's first step to full electronic procurement. The deal covers staff in the UK and across Europe. BPA aims to get rid of 75 per cent of invoices worth less than $5,000 and to pay for 80 per cent of its high value transactions electronically. In a statement, Paul Kempthorne, project manager at SkillSet, said: "Our job is to ensure the staff see the benefits of the process and understand the importance of using the systems."
