Point wins £1m CRM contract with Virgin Mobile

NEWS Point Information Systems has won a contract to supply its TeamPoint customer relationship management (CRM) software and integration services to Virgin Mobile in a deal worth over £1m. Virgin Mobile - a joint venture between Virgin Group and One2One - is expecting to employ around 1,000 staff at its Wiltshire call centre facility by 2002. The CRM technology will benefit the company by linking sales, marketing, customer care and back office functions. Point won the contract on the back of experience with other Virgin Mobile suppliers - IBM, Logica, Sema and call centre specialist, Merchants Group. Other TeamPoint customers include Mobile One and Singapore Telecom.
