Banner to supply e-catalogue for government procurement scheme

NEWS Banner Business Systems is to provide the UK Government Secure Intranet (GSI) with the first external electronic trade catalogue for government procurement. Banner will implement the system using Infobank Electronic Commerce Systems. When the system goes live at the end of the year, users will be able to access it from the Internet using security codes and a read-only mode for guests or from the GSI. The Banner catalogue will offer a full catalogue of all its products from fax paper to hardware and orders can be placed online. Built-in workflow features mean users will be able to track orders and check budgets online. Mark Cashman, CEO at Banner Business Systems said users will be able to know exactly how much they have spent and what they have spent it on.
