NEWS Sun Microsystems has taken another step closer to its idea of a Java-enabled home, by announcing a partnership with Sun Hung Kai Properties in Japan to launch a Java based news and entertainment site. Called SuperHome.net, it will be piloted at East Point Property in Tseung Kwan O and then expanded to other residential estates. The service, expected to launch next year, has more than 30 content providers to provide daily news to the homeowner. Scott McNealy, chairman at Sun, said the concept of a residential e-community environment will soon become a 'lifestyle convenience'.
