Be OS goes mobile with Java

NEWS The makers of Be OS are hoping to extend the number of applications available to users by incorporating Java into the operating system. Java 2 and PersonalJava are both being ported to Be. According to Jean-Louis Gasse, Be's CEO, PersonalJava will let Be users access applications on handheld devices and intelligent appliances. Java-enabled Be will be on offer from the first quarter of next year.
