NEWS Japanese nuclear power plants have experienced seven Y2K glitches, and experts are divided on the importance of the problems. According to reports, none of the plants' control systems went wrong, but some experts argue that the number of glitches is too high, and preparation should have been more extensive. Other Japanese officials, however, say the glitches are minor and that the preparations and contingency work put in place was sufficient.
