Date change affects Lotus Notes and Domino servers

NEWS Lotus users have been hit by a Y2K glitch that can cause crashes when dealing with dates following the year 2000 and prior to 1950. A technote posted on the technical support page of Lotus Web site identified the problem when performing the following actions: using Simple Action agents to send a message that includes a copy of a document; using the NotesDocument.RendertoRTItem method in LotusScript; or with the Domino 4.6x SMTP MTA. According to reports, affected products include Domino Server version 5.x, 4.6x, 4.5.7, 4.5.6 and Notes client versions 5.x, 4.6x, 4.5.7, and 4.5.6.
