NEWS EDS' ecommerce subsidiary - EDS CoNext - has joined forces with Ariba to offer online procurement system services. As a result of the deal, EDS CoNext will offer to build electronic supply chain networks for end users with integrated billing and ordering facilities. Ariba will provide EDS with its B2B ecommerce platform in return for receiving warrants to purchase shares in EDS CoNext. EDS will also be able to buy shares in Ariba equalling 7.3 per cent of the outstanding equity of Ariba.
