Tesco backs Net shopping with 7,000 jobs

NEWS Supermarket giant Tesco will create 7,000 UK jobs this year to support the expansion of its Internet shopping service. The company is planning to triple the number of stores offering its Tesco Direct home delivery from 100 to 300, after research showed 'enormous demand' for the pilot scheme. According to the company, it already has 250,000 registered users and receives 4,000 orders a day - generating £125m of sales per year.
