Intentia unveils intelligent e-procurement

NEWS Swedish ERP company, Intentia, has introduced intelligent agent technology that it claims will help companies find the best e-procurement deals. Intentia claims its Movex Intelligent Agent lets businesses take better advantage of electronic auctions for goods and services. According to Johan Berg, Intentia's managing director of R&D, although intelligent agents have so far been limited to small-scale features such as Web-search technology, but it can be used to automate business procurement as well. Movex Intelligent Agent will support applications like customer relationship management, supply chain management, and market pricing. It will be available from this autumn.
