NEWS The chief executive of CRM developer, Recognition Systems, claims attitudes to customer relationship management software are finally changing after a long period of scepticism among UK IT departments. In an exclusive interview with Silicon.com, Recognition Systems' Bryan Black spoke of his claims that over the last two years, the UK market hasn't been ready for CRM. "We found that a lot of evaluations were being run by the IT department who are very risk averse," he said. However, the changing outlook in the UK is demonstrated by the rapid take-up of CRM. "This is the fastest growing sector in the UK - it's just taking off now," he said. Black claims this turnaround of attitudes can be explained by the growing importance of the Internet, and the influx of large vendors like SAP, into the market.
