BP Amoco goes online with ChemConnect

NEWS BP Amoco Chemicals is now part of the World Chemical Exchange by teaming up with ChemConnect as its third party platform for Web-based chemical trading. The oil giant turned to the provider of the global Internet exchange to become part of the 4,000 member companies already using the system. BP is aiming to have all of its chemical business trading online and procure 95 per cent of their supplies in this way within the next 12 months. Other members already include The Dow Chemical Company, Anderson Consulting and Chemical Week Ventures.
