NEWS Business-to-business (B2B) ecommerce is not as common as hype suggests, according to a panel survey by the National Computer Center (NCC). Less than four per cent of respondents are involved in B2B ecommerce now and only a third more said they are planning to move in this direction. The survey spoke to members of the NCC, including the finance, government, IT and utilities sectors. The most popular Internet applications were email and file transfer but the survey found that although government departments are involved in the use of these applications they are not making the move to B2B ecommerce.
