NEWS Ecommerce is growing more quickly via digital TV than over the Internet, according to research house BRMB. In a survey of digital users conducted by BRMB International, it has found that seven per cent of digital TV viewer have bought online, only two months since the launch of fully interactive services from Open. Also while digital viewers have only waited two months to make their first purchase, typically Internet users wait six months before spending on the Web. Paul Milsom, the author of the report, said familiarity with the medium of TV is helping to overcome security fears people have with PC-based ecommerce.
