NEWS IT services company Parity, has teamed up with US e-billing company edocs to offer Web-based personalised billing software UK utility company's. Using BillDirect, utilities will be able to provide their customers with personalised, interactive bills, statements as well as account transaction data over the Internet. Parity claims the software can reduce costs which can be passed on to customers. Parity will offer to integrate the software on the utility's in-house network or as a hosted ASP (application service provider) model, and adds to an ASP e-procurement deal with Infoseek announced last month. It will also target telecommunications, insurance and credit card markets in the coming months.
