NEWS The American Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is to clamp down on any Web sites illegally selling and prescribing prescription drugs in the US. FDA commissioner Dr Jane Henney said that it is working with the boards of medicine in various states to investigate the smaller US companies who could be breaking the law. The FDA requests online pharmacies perform a full consultation and have potential customers fill out an online questionnaire before any prescriptions are filled.
