Ipega Group buys JD Edwards ERP system

NEWS Igepa Group, an association of six German paper wholesalers, has purchased a multimillion pound ERP system from JD Edwards. Igepa will use the software to handle distribution, finance, production, and warehouse management. The company hopes to take advantage of the Internet by implementing ebusiness customer relationship and supply chain management products. The first phase of the implementation is set for completion by March 2001 and will include 1,600 users. The full rollout will take two years.
