NEWS East Midlands Electricity (EME) has awarded document management firm, Document Technologies, a contract to computerise its database of legal contracts. The contract will cover the imaging of EME's "wayleave" contracts - documents giving the company access to private property for the installation of equipment such as poles and cables. Document Technologies will host the service remotely, charging EME on a per-scan basis. It recently completed a similar contract for Midlands Electricity.
