Dow deploys Microsoft intranet

NEWS Chemical services company, Dow Chemical, has installed an intranet supplied by Microsoft to support its internal communications. The company will use Microsoft's Media product to link 30,000 employees over a network that will also be accessible to suppliers linked to certain areas via the its Web site. The intranet will feature Microsoft's Media Player, allowing the company to keep its employees up-to-date with video-based internal announcements.
