Net technologies will boost drug output

NEWS Pharmaceutical companies will be able to quadruple the number of drugs released each year thanks to Web-based technologies, according to a report from Andersen Consulting. The 'Speed to Value: Delivering on the quest for better medicines' report, states that the Internet will transform clinical trials by removing the need for paperwork and allowing companies to exchange and analyse data faster. The research follows interviews with over 100 pharmaceutical company executives and regulatory officials.
