NEWS Consultancy Cap Gemini and IT supplier, SPL WorldGroup, have joined forces to win a customer information system contract with France's largest electricity supplier, Electricite de France (EDF). The deal, for an undisclosed sum, is aimed at 400,000 industrial and commercial customers and will let EDF offer a range of services including billing, contact management, marketing and outage management. EDF is a publicly owned utility with a total of 30 million customers in France.
