Lawson to offer apps on tap

NEWS American ERP software company, Lawson Software, is to start offering French companies applications on demand. Pascal Prévot, managing director of Lawson Software in France, said the company planned to offer two application provider services. The first, Lawson Tone Hosting Application, will let companies retain control of the applications but outsource software management and support. The second, Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), will allow companies to completely outsource all aspects of application implementation and management. Lawson said companies would be charged a monthly rate of between $100 to $500 depending on the number of users and service used. A launch date has not yet been fixed.
