Sun's Forte wins $5.5m BT Cellnet contract

NEWS Sun Microsystems has won a $5.5m contract to supply BT Cellnet with its Forte Fusion EAI (Enterprise Application Integration) product suite. Sun said the EAI suite will allow BT Cellnet to support the "integration, automation and enhancement" of its customer facing business processes. The idea is that the mobile operator's customer relationship management (CRM) strategy will be improved, in a business which is characterised by high rates of users switching providers - so-called 'churn'. Sun's Forte Fusion suite supports various platforms, including mainframes.
