Autonomy seeks place on Nasdaq

NEWS Autonomy, the UK software firm, has announced it will list on Nasdaq in a move that should raise between $100m and $150m from US investors. The company - which produces intelligent software that structures free text into computer recognisable form - raised $35m when it floated on Easdaq in July 1998 for $165m. Its current market capitalisation stands at $4.7bn. The company is filing registration papers with the US Securities and Exchange Commission and expects to complete the listing by May. Autonomy customers include Barclays, BT, and News Corporation.
