Manufacturing workers get free net access

NEWS Eight thousand UK workers are set to receive free, unmetered internet access both at work and at home as a result of a scheme set up by international engineering group ABB. Workers from factory line to boardroom will have access to cyber-cafés in the canteens and restaurants of the company's Staffordshire headquarters. The UK arm of the Swiss-Swedish group is the first traditional manufacturing firm in the country to offer such a service in the hope of teaching its staff how to use the web and send emails.
