JD Edwards CEO quits

NEWS

JD Edwards has become the latest vendor of enterprise resource planning (ERP) software to lose its head.

Following poor sales figures, CEO Doug Massingill has resigned, and is replaced by founding CEO Edward McVaney.

The vendor's stock took a battering on the Nasdaq Monday, closing down 21.6 per cent.

JD Edwards isn't alone in having leadership difficulties - rival ERP players Baan, PeopleSoft and SAP have all lost CEOs recently.
