SAP launches XML-based interface repository

NEWS German ERP vendor, SAP, has highlighted its commitment to XML by announcing an XML-based interface repository that will contain over 2,000 mySAP.com interfaces and data types. The repository - which will be available from the end of May - will let SAP customers and third parties download the relevant XML schema for business communication. The company said that the underlying messaging and Web collaboration technology driving mySAP.com employs XML throughout, and insisted the open standard will ease B2B functions such as transmitting catalogue information, managing purchase orders, handling invoices, and collaborative planning scenarios.
