eDreams launches in Spain

NEWS US online travel company eDreams has gone live with its second European portal, this time in Spain. eDreams has signed agreements with more than 25 Spanish tour companies, including Mundicolor, Soltour and Tiempo Libre. The travel company will offer a range of packages, the latest news, as well as personal advice on holiday choices over the Internet. However, it has chosen to stick with traditional methods of payment and will use Spain's Ultramar Express call centre to handle all the final transactions. eDreams - founded in the US in 1999 - had its European debut this February in Italy where it claims it now has 40,000 registered users. The company is currently gearing up for a June launch into the UK market, with France and Germany to follow.
