Businesses failing to control remote network access

NEWS European companies adopting mobile technologies are struggling to keep control of their corporate data, according to Paddy Falls, CEO of intranet technology company iOra. In an exclusive interview with Silicon.com, Falls said: "People today are able to connect from anywhere, but the corporates are struggling to manage their data properly. They are struggling to keep control of what devices are being used struggling with security management and struggling to keep up with what professionals on the road are wanting to do." iOra develops technology that allows remote workers and sales forces to get access to updated corporate intranets via a laptop and mobile phone. Falls said his company is experiencing considerable growth rates in all European markets but added this is not the same story in the US. "Anywhere in Europe the adoption rates tend to be higher than in the US because mobility has been a very European thing, driven by the mobile phone business."
