Compaq users to receive Autonomy

NEWS UK artificial intelligence company Autonomy will now provide its technology to Compaq customers. The deal with Compaq's Global Services Division will see Autonomy become Compaq's recommended provider for managing unstructured information, and will be backed up by a worldwide marketing campaign. Compaq will also set up an EMEA-based knowledge management competency centre to train Compaq consultants in Autonomy's software. Compaq's Global Services Division gives has 27,000 consultants worldwide and includes customers such as MSN, Lycos and AltaVista. Autonomy technology uses artificial intelligence systems to automate the analysis of a body of text and provide a structure to the information.
