adabra.com strengthens its back office set-up

NEWS UK ecommerce site adabra.com has selected ERP vendor JD Edwards and consultancy Arthur Andersen to strengthen its back office infrastructure. JD Edwards' OneWorld enterprise product will be used to provide an integrated back-end service to adabra.com's Web site. Arthur Andersen will provide the application as part of an ASP set-up, as well as running the company's back office processes on an outsourced basis. Paul Barnes, managing director of adabra.com, said in a statement: "Arthur Andersen's iBPO initiative offered us the opportunity to get a tier one ebusiness platform and a world-class finance system operational in just two months. "With JD Edwards software we have a fully integrated e-fulfilment solution, across all European countries in which we operate and all the suppliers and partners across our supply chain."
