BT builds Northern Ireland call centre

NEWS BT is to set up a customer accounts call centre in Londonderry, Northern Ireland. The centre is part of a scheme which will see BT open seven new call centres throughout Britain to increase the efficiency of the company's billing and account management. The Northern Ireland Industrial Development Board will subsidise the move with a £700,000 grant, with BT investing a further £1.1m. The call centre will provide 160 new jobs in the area.
