Oracle adds CRM features to its ebusiness solution

NEWS Oracle has unveiled the latest additions to its ebusiness software suite 11i today. The company is adding CRM and order management components to the suite, which already includes financials, human resources, procurement and supply chain software. It claims that all other vendors including Ariba, Commerce One, SAP and Siebel provide these components separately and users trying to compile a complete ebusiness suite could face integration costs amounting to millions of dollars. Ron Wohl, executive vice president of Oracle Applications, claims the ERP era is now dead, adding that users are beginning to install ebusiness applications directly.
