JD Edwards' One World incorporates Latin America

NEWS Software company, JD Edwards, has teamed up with Latin America's leading telco research centre, CPqD, to develop operations software for the telecommunications industry. JD Edwards, which last month announced cuts in training centres and staff, will incorporate CPqD's Operations Support System (OSS) into its OneWorld flagship product. CPqD, a customer of JD Edwards, offers web-enabled tools for billing, customer service, plant management and network resource management. US-based Rural Telephone Service Company has already signed up to the combined product, which is due to reach the market early next year.
