NEWS More than eight per cent of France's software and services markets can be attributed to ebusiness. A study by French research house Pierre Audoin Conseil claims the ecommerce market in France totalled FF7.7bn (£740m) last year and this is set to rise by 45 per cent by 2003. The market for ebusiness services in France remains dominated by software houses and content providers but a new breed of players known as web development agencies are set to boost the market according to the report. Web development agencies are a hybrid of traditional companies and dot-coms offering hardware, software, consultancy skills and content. However, foreign interest from Germany, Scandinavia and America will also generate revenue for France's ecommerce market.
