Oracle and Cisco partner for VoIP

NEWS Cisco and Oracle are developing integrated call centre technology for voice-over-internet protocol (VoIP) interaction. The two companies will design an integrated internet protocol (IP)-based strategy where call centers can interact with customers through the web. The venture will also feature an interactive voice response (IVR) provided by Cisco. The strategy will involve hardware and software from both companies and it will be a tailored service designed for the users' existing infrastructure. System integrators and partners, such as KPMG and PricewaterhouseCoopers, will be marketing the venture, according to a Cisco spokeswoman.
