Stratumsoft receives funding for first cyber 'person'

NEWS Software developer Stratumsoft has received £3.6m funding from equity group Murray Johnstone to develop and design cyber 'people'. The internet software company develops 3D-imaging for use on retail and entertainment websites, but they are now expanding development to semi-neural technology imaging. The bulk of the new investment will finance development of the Electronic Virtual Assistant (EVA), a life-like cyber assistant with access to a database of product and service information and the added ability to increase its own intelligence by asking questions. The investment puts the company in a strong position to float next year and raise funds to finance the international launch of EVA.
