IBM makes available $110m ASCI White supercomputer

NEWS The $110m ASCI White supercomputer from IBM will be made available to commercial customers following the recent shipment to the US Department of Energy. With 12.3 trillion operations per seconds, the ASCI White can scale up to 8,100 microprocessors and contains more than 6 trillion bytes of memory, and 160 trillion bytes of disk storage capacity and took two-and-a-half years to develop.
