Alliance & Leicester banks on call centre strategy

UK bank the Alliance & Leicester has confirmed it will create a new call centre as part of its £15m web-based wealth management service, due to go live early next year.

NEWS A spokeswomen for the Alliance & Leicester said the service is currently undergoing testing but refused to reveal any further information regarding the logistics of the call centre. She said: "We will have a new call centre for this service but we are yet to decide whether it will be a dedicated or shared centre. More information will be available in early 2001." The wealth management service will be aimed at high earners with a high level of assets.
