NEWS Anite will initially pay £14.9m in loan notes and ordinary shares, with a further £35.1m if Calculus reaches set profit targets by April 2003. A spokesman for the group, said the acquisition was in line with the company's move into the Customer Relationship Management sector: "Anite are seeking to add to the group's portfolio by expanding its telecoms section." "Calculus in particular has developed a leading customer care and billing system, an area in which Anite want to form a strong lead." The takeover follows Anite's purchase of French IT consultancy firm Datavance Group for £49.4m in May.
