Doing the knowledge: Microsoft unveils SharePoint server

Microsoft has launched its SharePoint Portal web server, which has been designed to improve knowledge management.

NEWS The server, known during development as 'Tahoe', allows portal integration with the MS Office and Windows OS and is especially suited to building corporate intranet portals. The server's knowledge management infrastructure enables document management, online discussion and search functions. The server can also index multiple content from different sources, such as Lotus Notes databases and other file servers.
