silicon.com is back

silicon.com has been away since Saturday and while we are glad to be back we would have preferred not to have gone away in the first place.

NEWS For that we can thank thieves who broke into our London offices on Saturday stealing various pieces of hardware. As such, no hardware meant no website. The Metropolitan Police are currently investigating the robbery but we would like to apologise to all our users who were unable to access the site. Our IT department have worked through the night and throughout today to get the site back up and running and now have the pizza boxes, musty odour and well worn look to prove it. Our IT director also asks that any company involved in disaster recovery does not call him to tell him about their exciting products. Sorry again for the inconvenience. Jon Bernstein
