CeBIT Update: ASPs to get third party, firewall and theft?

ASPs attending CeBIT have been introduced to a scheme that could see them insured.

NEWS Industry association Bitkom has proposed an insurance model that would see digital business models insured against risks such as personal damages, the theft of intellectual property, client claims made against interruptions in service and the costs of investigating and repairing these breaks in service. Bitkom intends the policy to offer global coverage and would protect ASPs from the cripling costs of legal action, particularly in the highly litigious US market. Bitkom points out that liability claims by customers during inactive periods alone could ruin some ASPs. By Kathrin Schmitt, http://www.silicon.de
