NEWS The online component of woman's magazine Eve posted the results of its survey last week, revealing that 40 per cent of its 1,100 respondents admit to surfing the net for sex sites. Sam Quinn, producer of allabouteve.co.uk, said she was very satisfied with the response and added: "Such exercises are part of how we are trying to generate an online community." 63 per cent of the respondents said they were interested in getting sex tips online from authorised pundits, however 78 per cent said they steer clear of chat rooms full of more amateur advisors. One respondent confirmed this as sound advice, saying: "I did meet my last partner in a sex chat room... but it didn't work out in real life. I think he preferred the cyber version of a relationship to the real thing. But it was his idea to meet. I was reluctant." The survey revealed that surfing sex sites is largely to enhance existing relationships rather than a way of meeting new partners, as 65 per cent of the respondents were already married.
