NEWS Online car seller autobytel.com has issued a profit warning for its second quarter citing the drop in advertising spending as a major factor. The company said it expects a net loss per share between 13 cents and 17 cents, excluding charges on revenues ranging from $15.5m to $16m. Including charges, the Californian based company said total losses for the quarter could range between $1.75 and $1.85 per share but maintained it will reach its target of breaking even in the fourth quarter. Meanwhile, in the UK, online car importer Totalise Eurekar is offering consumers a free Ford Focus if they order a SAAB 9-3 Aero. The two for one offer is valid if car buyers pay the full UK price of £26,450. The Ford Focus is valued at £10,970. A spokesman from Totalise said consumers can opt out of the two for one offer and pay only £17,395 for the SAAB. "This offer is available because of a deal we've struck with suppliers in Europe and clearly demonstrates the difference in price between us and Europe, despite some UK dealers saying prices are falling in line," he said. He added that Totalise has received around 100 inquiries since the offer began yesterday. "The offer is not timed to end and we'll take as many orders as we can handle," he said. This special offer can be found at www.eurekar.com. For related stories, see
