i2 shares take a tumble

587 workers become jobseekers...

NEWS Software developer i2 Technologies saw its shares fall by 16 per cent at close of trade yesterday, after it announced it will slash 10 per cent of its workforce. The company saw its shares close down at $1.69 at a 52-week low of $8.60 in New York. As a result i2 will axe 587 jobs. i2 blamed the downturn in the economy.
